Another step forward!
The Chemistry Gallery is a place dedicated to the serious commercial presentation of young contemporary artists from the Czech Republic and abroad. The aim of The Chemistry Gallery is to contribute to the mutual interaction and understanding between the world of art and the public and initiate thus a real interest in new art and trends in art.
The Chemistry Gallery’s unique, flexible space is ideal for exhibitions, auctions, workshops, and art projects, as
well as company presentations and social events. The Chemistry Gallery also dedicates its space to the expression and
realisation of ideas and projects whose objective is to develop, and to help to promote a better understanding of, culture
and art.
Events at The Chemistry Gallery are always organised to break away from the sensation of one’s being in a traditional
gallery space or attending a typical art exhibition. The gallery’s concept is to provide both artists and clients with a
feeling of coming together at vernissages and auctions. The gallery’s innovations in this area translate into an unusual
and pleasant experience for clients, combined with cultural events, such as concerts, performances, or video art.
Projects and exhibitions
The Chemistry Gallery was introduced to the public on 15 October 2008 with an exhibition of the popular Portuguese sculptor and artist Joao Galrao and his work from the “After hours” series. The ongoing series of exhibitions entitled “Next Targets“ started in 2009. The aim is to reveal new, young, talented artists who will soon become the “targets” of art lovers and art collectors. The exhibition "Best of Klausury" introduces the best year-end artworks from Czech art schools (AVU, VŠUP and FaVU).
The Gallery also organised an exhibition entitled “Universerum” which aimed to bring together applied art, design furniture,
flower design, painting, and sculpture in a unique way.
